Heavy rains led to massive mudslides in Southern California on Tuesday, killing now 20 people and damaging over 100 homes.  In the midst of the disaster, celebs including Oprah, Ellen Degeneres, Jeff Bridges, and Troy Aikman were affected by the severe rainstorm and mudslides.

Though Oprah Winfrey’s home was not severely damaged, the media mogul stilled faced pounds of debris and cement-like mud surrounding her home.   “Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern.  My property is fine.  Some mud, and minor damage that pales in comparison to what my neighbors are going thru. #mudslides” Winfrey wrote via Instagram.

Talk show host and comedian Ellen Degeneres had to evacuate from her home just 10 days after being evacuated for wildfires.  On Twitter, Degeneres tweeted an image of her flooded neighborhood.

Degeneres also spoke about the catastrophic flooding & mudslides in her neighborhood on her show on Thursday saying “Sunday night, Portia and I got a call that we’re under mandatory evacuation again with most of the community of Montecito. So again, we evacuated because they feared mudslides. After everything we’ve been through I think a lot of people thought they were just being overly cautious, but exactly what they feared happened. The rain triggered massive mudslides. Massive. That is the 101. That is a highway and it is 30 miles long.”

Actor Jeff Bridges’ home was also damaged by the mudslide.  Bridges wrote via Twitter:

Football Hall of Fame Quarterback Troy Aikman sent his condolences via Instagram.

According to Santa Barbara officials, drainage basins need to be cleared of any mud or debris that may possibly cause more floods and muddy waters.
