Father of Sex Abuse Victims Charges at Disgraced USA Gymnastics Doctor in Court

The father of three young daughters who were sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics doctor, Larry Nassar tried to attack him at his final sentence hearing on Friday in a Michigan courtroom.
As seen in a video posted by ABC News, Randall Margraves pleaded with judge Janice Cunningham at the podium to be locked in a room with Nassar. "I would ask you to, as part of the sentencing, to grant me five minutes in a locked room with this demon," he asked. After being denied, he asked for one minute. Margraves then proceeded to charge at the former gymnastics doctor who sat across the room.
The defense attorney representing Nassar stood to guard him as court officers took hold of the father, wrestling and pinning him to the ground. Margraves was later handcuffed and escorted out of the courtroom.
Larry Nassar was sentenced up to 175 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting young Olympic gymnasts, under pretenses of medical treatment. Margraves' daughter Madison and Lauren were among the estimated 30 victims in the case.

The Margraves family later made an emotional statement at a press conference. A rep read a statement of apology saying the Randall Margraves "wanted to protect his daughters. He is deeply regretful for his actions today."
Margraves then continued to read his statement saying "We went to the podium, Sherri—their mother, and myself, in support of the two daughters. When I had to hear what was said in those statements, and I have to look over at Larry Nassar shaking his head, that's when I lost control."
"I'm not advocating that everyone should do that, I feel very remorseful, very apologetic, I was embarrassed," Margraves said. "I thank Judge Cunningham and all the court system for their leniency on me. "
